    This is a listing for a Clete Boyer Signed Autographed New York Yankees Full Size Batting Helmet, It is has a clear and sharp signature by Clete in silver paint pen. He also adds an inscription noting the Yanks 1961 World Series Championship.The helmet comes with a COA from GT Sports. The helmet is in almost perfect condition with no apparent scratches, marks or blemishes.  This is a souvenir batting helmet and it is not intended for competitive use.     Clete Boyer was primarily third baseman who played in the MLB for 16 years for Kansas City Athletics, New York Yankees and Atlanta Braves. Clete also played four seasons in Japanese baseball.  He was considered an outstanding defensive player (many consider him an equal to Brooks Robinson) and he played the great Yankee teams of the early 1960's that competed in five straight world series, winning twice (1961 and 1962.) Clete went to play for the Braves where he won the 1969 Gold Glove and had some of his most productive seasons. Clete, who was the brother of former N.L. MVP Ken Boyer, sadly passed away in 2007.
